Snoring Medication

How can I stop snoring (its embarrassing!)?
Im a 15 year old girl who enjoys going camping with a large group of my friends on the weekend and just party it up? haha, anyways i feel like such a loser! I snore like a pig! and everyone laughs about it the next day.
How can i stop snoring? i snore VERY loud and i don’t sleep on my back, i sleep on my side.
I can’t have surgery and i can’t take any medication (mother won’t let me)
The guy who im seeing is coming next week as well, i feel like such a loser.

1. Changing your diet
- Drinking alcohol and smoking can cause snoring, as can certain physical conditions and medications that you might be taking. For many people, stopping smoking and drinking can also stop their snoring problem
- Avoid alcoholic beverages, sleeping pills, antihistamines, and tranquilizers before going to sleep. They tend to make your muscles relax, which can result to a narrower air passage way.
- Avoid the intake of dairy products, like milk, right before you go to bed. They often cause mucus buildup and can easily clog your air passages.
- Excessive eating and a lack of exercise are actually known to cause snoring.
- Being overweight also contributes to making you a snorer. If you weigh more than the ideal weight for your height, it is time that you take on some weight management measures. Losing weight can help reduce snoring because it increases the space in your air passages.
2. Exercises
Stop snoring exercises focus on strengthening the muscles in your throat, jaw, and tongue. These exercises allow you to breathe more properly while you sleep.
3. Sleeping on a firmer pillow
You could try an anti-snore pillow which is a particular type of orthopaedic pillow that helps keep your neck and spine in alignment. Many people don’t find them comfortable as they are quite hard but certainly worth a try.
4. stop snoring by using off-the-shelf fixes
There are several claims that off-the-shelf products will work and perhaps they do – but only for some. There is no proof that a single item will work effectively for everybody. Some of these fixes involve gum shields that alter the space at the back of the throat by pushing the jaw forward slightly or others that keep the mouth open. There are also products that involve strips or a clip on the nose that keep the passages clear and sprays that help stop the palate vibrate.
